Four astronauts back on Earth after a record-breaking mission

Four astronauts returned safely to Earth from the Space Station this morning in a Dragon capsule.

The capsule landed in the Gulf of Mexico with the help of a parachute early this morning at around three o’clock, which ended the second space flight organized by the company of multi-billionaire Elon Musk.

The return to Earth of four astronauts, three Americans – Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover and Shannon Walker and one Japanese – Soichi Noguchi, was very fast and lasted only 6 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Welcome back to Earth and thank you for flying the spacecraft X – a message arrived via radio immediately after landing in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, near Florida.

The astronauts spent 167 days in the space mission and broke the record from 1974, when the crew of the NASA spacecraft spent 84 days in space.
